Global Black Youth (GBY) convenes the world's most innovative, disruptive and entrepreneurial young black leaders and supports them in generating knowledge and solutions that transform their ability to impact the world. Global Black Youth will launch a global discourse on systemic racism and structural violence and inequalities that Black youth face globally; highlight the innovative, disruptive and entrepreneurial initiatives undertaken by young black leaders globally to address these challenges, maximize their opportunities, re-invent their realities and re-negotiate their identities; and, connect them across borders and boundaries to create a global community of Black youth.

Story image 1
GBY was started by Niousha Roshani and Nyeleti Honwana. Hailing from the African continent, but very much citizens of the world, Nyeleti and Niousha have worked at the nexus of academia, tech, philanthropy and development to bolster and support the work of young black people on the African continent, Latin America and the US. Now these two dynamic women have joined forces to connect Africans, African descendants and the wider black diasporas in an effort to create a global Pan-African network of young black innovators, disruptors and leaders. Niousha and Nyeleti are driven by the need to change the dominant narratives about young black people and showcase their immeasurable knowledge and change making power.

But they need your help! The donation you make today will go towards the preparatory costs of hosting the first ever Global Black Youth Fest on the African Continent. A three-day, annual event where 500 black young people will find common ground, solidify ties, and promote cultural, educational and leadership development. The Fest will create intentional and alternative spaces for the advancement of Black perspectives, knowledge, positions and conditions in the global community.

Be among the first fifty to donate and receive a GBY T-shirt!!
