In March of 2024, incoming 2024-2025 BSSD students completed their kindergarten screening. At that time, their schools confidently told parents that their school supplies will be donated by a generous organization. They would not need to worry about purchasing supplies for their child.
In July 2024, parents of BSSD incoming kindergarteners received an email informing them that the organization that was expected to donate supplies no longer would and that parents would need to purchase them on their own.
For many families, this incurrs an additional unexpected burden on them in an already rough economic situation, at the start of a new school year.
As a community, we can help! All proceeds will be used to purchase supplies off their required kindergarten supply list. Help the kindergarten students of Blue Springs start off the school year right with new supplies and a bright start to their education!
