Married in 2020, my wife & I were thrilled to have our own family. Originally that consisted of myself, her, & a puppy. Over the last few years that family had grown to include 2 puppies & a cat all named after breakfast foods. However- we were wanting something more at the same time. Trying to conceive for years, we didn't have many answers. We had prayed & worked for years to prepare for children with no results. In July 2024, my wife & I were on a mission trip with our church youth group in Colorado Springs. Halfway through the week, she collapsed in extreme pain. Later that day in the emergency room, we had an hour of bliss- Erin was pregnant. But the question remained, what brought Erin to the hospital? Our pregnancy was ectopic, & her fallopian tube had ruptured. Losing the baby, a tube, & enough internal blood to be considered near-death, our lives were shaken. The next year entailed just trying to survive & heal. Attempting to get pregnant again while getting ourselves healthy, we didn't know where to go. That's when we started meeting with professionals. One year after losing a fallopian tube, we discovered Erin's remaining fallopian tube was blocked- natural conception was no longer possible. We have prayed, cried, & yearned for any answer to give us a path to a baby of our own- which is why I am here on behalf of my wife. IVF is our only option for Erin to be pregnant, & I am looking at any way to get us there outside of quitting my job to work full-time for a company that provides coverage. We aren't needing money as much as hope. Any help to get us to that point is what keeps our family moving forward.
