I have organized this fundraiser in support of my friends Nicole and Hannah--the money raised will support their deposits and tuition.
Hannah is my roommate from "college" (grad school because I didn't live on campus as a youth) and we lived in the woods together for two years. She is a medical interpreter in Louisville, KY interested in forming a collective of interpreters trained in interpretation for social justice, upholding the highest ethical standards, and creating empowerment and economic opportunity for heritage speakers.
I am struggling with what to tell you about them but am reminding myself that you do not need to know them to love them, just like you didn't need to know me to love me. Please give what you can.
