I want to share that my granddaughter, who is a single mother of three young children, has recently experienced a series of very unfortunate and devastating events. She was struck by a vehicle while walking in a crosswalk on Wyoming Blvd. Although she received medical treatment and had been recovering at home, the situation took another tragic turn.
On Saturday, 11/14, her apartment complex was severely damaged by a fire. Thankfully, due to the quick actions of a neighbor, my granddaughter and her children were able to escape safely without further injury. While we are incredibly grateful that their lives were spared, the fire destroyed everything inside the apartment. Unfortunately, none of their belongings were salvageable, and they have been left with nothing. A family has lost their home due to the devastating fire. They are now facing the difficult task of rebuilding their lives and replacing essential belongings.
She currently has no transportation, making it difficult to take her children to doctor and dentist appointments or even get groceries.
This has been an overwhelming and heartbreaking time for her and her children, as they now face the challenges of recovering physically, emotionally, and financially.
