On October 15,2024 my world came crumbling down. I received a call from my youngest daughter that her big sister has went into cardiac arrest and i needed to get to the hospital right away. I raised my children to always be aware of their surroundings as we live in a world full of the unknown. Janessa has always been the life of the party she loves the nightlife as she bartends and managers many events from NYC all the way to CLT NC. On the day someone did something to my child that almost took her away from me. She is a fighter and will continue to fight and pull through with much needed physical therapy and rehabilitation on this journey. She was in a coma for 5 days as i prayed to the lord let my baby open her eyes. As many know I as a mother always put my kids first . Im asking for help no dollar is too small and please support her through this fight. as i will continue to keep her friends and family updated throughout her journey.

It’s been 1year 4 months of dedicated rehabilitation and a strong support system. Janessa has shown so much improvement during this time. I want to thank you all for making that happen. She is starting to store and recall back information more each day. Doctors told us it will be a marathon not a sprint race but I’m blessed to still have her with me .

Therapy is paying off Janessa is doing great she is starting to store information and recall it back. Her doctors believe she will gain most of her normalcy as she continues to use the tools needed and applying them to strengthen her memory.

It’s been 3 months since Janessa has suffered cardiac arrest. She is making great progress throughout therapy. She is grateful to have friends and family by her side to support her through this journey. I’m asking to please support her so she can get the care needed to make a full recovery no dollar is too small.

Janessa goes for first neurology exam tomm, her cognitive abilities have been the most challenging but she is progressing with the help of rehabilitation. We are grateful that she is here with us through this tough time. TBI’s are different with every person as we continue her process in recovery.
