Approximately 2 weeks ago I was in the process of moving my motorhome into an rv park when it unexpectedly caught fire.  The guy driving was inexperienced and confused the engine flooding with it being out of gas.  So inadvertently he fed the fire making things even worse. Luckily it is salvageable and we can live in it again but the situation created a huge problem. It must drive into the rv park under its own power, every rv park I've spoken with has this same rule to avoid abandonment and the expensive costs of having to tow a vehicle this size.  So while I understand the rule it leaves my 3 kids and I without a home and leaves the motorhome vulnerable to impound.  I have been buying parts and working on it when I can but the cost of being homeless with children is astronomical. Especially in the winter time.  I'm working as much as possible but every penny is spent before I even get my check.  We receive EBT so thankfully food isn't an issue.  What I am struggling with is gas to keep working.  I'm a delivery driver so it's important that I have fuel.  Propane is our source of heat and cooks our food so it's a necessity that I can't seem to keep up on no matter how much I plan. I highly fear we will lose our storage unit as well. If anyone can help us get caught up, we are only $70 behind and you can call them and pay directly to the storage unit. It is Northwest  Self Storage in Terrebonne, OR and is under the name Nicholas Silvis. Lastly is our hotel room which is nearly $100 a night. To save money I've been sleeping in my car on the days the kids visit their dad. I've sold everything of value and still have my second car for sale.  I've been collecting cans and accepting any and all odd jobs but I just can't seem to catch up and break even.  I feel like every step forward is countered by several steps back.  It's discouraging and as my last resort I am reaching out for help. If you can find it in your heart to help us get back on our feet I'd be forever grateful and promise  to pay it forward. Every penny counts and I'll gladly accept cans and bottles that I can return for ORV. I'm desperate and will do anything to keep our home.  It had a ton of sentimental value and while it isn't much,  it's our home. Thank you for reading and as needs appear or disappear I will update this site.  God bless and stay healthy!
