What a way for Amber the 6 month old Norwegian Elkhound to go into the New Year from a healthy playing pup to a broken tibia in at least 3 pieces because life just likes to test you.  She never asked for this she’s a sweet pup that wants nothing but love and to play in the snow which she enjoyed for a short while here in New Jersey but now when it snows she won’t be able to play in it. There was hope where a splint might do the trick but because the bone is in a couple pieces the ortho doctors are now saying surgery or just cut the leg off.  So now here I am begging online for help from care giving people to not let that be a reality for a puppy who’s not even a year old yet and started her life, I’d like to have a chance at keeping her leg so she can play with her brother Slate who I took in with her as well as her big sisters Emerald and Jade.
