No parent should ever have to watch their baby fight for her life.
Our dear friends are facing every parent’s worst nightmare. Their beautiful 2½-month-old daughter has been hospitalized and is currently battling kidney failure. Right now, their days are filled with hospital rooms, doctor appointments, unanswered questions, and hoping and praying for healing.
This journey has also been incredibly difficult for their 2½-year-old daughter, who is trying to understand why her baby sister is in the hospital and why so much has changed. While her parents do everything they can to be there for both of their girls, the emotional and logistical challenges of balancing life between the hospital and home are overwhelming.
As they focus on being by their daughter’s side and caring for their family, the last thing they should have to worry about is the financial burden that comes with a prolonged hospital stay. Medical expenses, travel, meals, lost income, childcare, and everyday household bills add up quickly.
