Hello my name is Miyanna Vernon. Ever since I was a little girl the lord has placed a passion on my heart to help and care for those who are in need, hurting and lost. As I got older I noticed that the lord would give me specific ideas on how I can go about helping out those who are in need in my own community.
Several years ago the lord placed on my heart the idea to create “blessing bags”. He showed me how I can use basic tools and resources that I had around me to be a blessing to those who I came accross. What started off as something that I would do around Easter I felt the lord was leading me to give out these bags every month of the year.
The lord showed me that since he’s blessed me with a car to travel and get around, I can use that as a means to be able to hand out these blessing bags to people who I saw living in the streets in need.
I typically try to fill these bags with non perishable food items that people can snack on right away without needing a kitchen, water, basic hygiene items, feminine products and socks !
My prayer and hope and is to be able to expand my reach by supporting those not just in my communities but being able to travel to other communities in the state of Colorado and serving them.
This fund will go towards all of the blessing bags items and supplies as well as help with transportation to expand my reach to those in need. Any amount you can give would be a blessing and just having your support and prayers alone means more to me than anything.
I believe in helping to meet the immediate needs of people first and making them feel seen. My prayer is through these blessing bags the people we touch will be impacted each month and they will know they are not forgotten !
