Young women who compete acquire valuable life-long skills during their time in the program all while earning academic scholarships to be used towards their higher education. During their year of service, they develop their own unique leadership style, hone their public speaking skills, develop strong relationships with like-minded women, and volunteer in their time in their communities.
The Miss Mississippi Corporation is a registered 501(c)(4) non-profit organization and an official state program of the Miss America Opportunity. Scholarships are administered by the Mississippi Scholarship Fund a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
