Thank you to our beloved community. Your support has been overwhelming and immensely heartwarming.
We understand how hard this has been for everyone and how much confusion this has brought about (we feel you, we are confused and working our way through the turmoil as a group). We hold space for that. We also feel the weight of what sudden job loss means for us, as a staff. We have been informed that due to our financial situation, it would be unclear whether our circumstances would allow for us to remain open through April. This means our staff will be unemployed sooner than we had anticipated. We unanimously decided that it was unethical to keep the original funds from the gofundme that you all so graciously gave to. We wanted to give the community the autonomous choice to donate to our survival with informed consent. Not under the guise of saving something that will not be saved.
All of the constant outpouring of love, all of the fierce support and gratitude from our patrons is inspiring. It gives us hope that we are going to be okay and that we will continue to care for one another.
We are immensely grateful for what was created at The Pearl and we will continue to bring the inclusivity and safety that we forged together to the community in any way we can.

Statement of Transparency: There are 27 members on our staff. The money collected will be divided evenly among all members of the staff to aid in our financial recovery and help us survive until we can secure new jobs. Receipts will be posted !
