Since falling and fracturing her femur back in late January, my mother has been bedridden. I am determined that she will not spend her remaining time in some sort of facility but will be at home with her family. She has been here since late February. She needs 24 hr care. I now sleep in the same room with her and care for her to the best of my ability. But, I have health issues myself as I have fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue. I am unable to care for her without help. So, I have been paying for caregivers. She was approved for a Share of Cost MediCal account in May and so we are able to get help from In Home Support Services (IHSS), Even with help from IHSS we still have a monthly cost of $2109 to satisfy the Share of Cost. I am requesting funds to cover one month of 6 hours a day help from IHSS. Please help with whatever you can. Thank you.
