I was recently fired from my job for putting my 2 weeks in after recieving a better job offer. I won't be able to start my new job until December 12th and I won't recieve a paycheck until some time after Christmas. My fiancé works, but with just one income it's tough to manage bills and Christmas for our 4 year old. I know money is probably tight for everybody with prices of everything always on the rise & the holidays right around the corner, all I want is to keep a roof over my family's head & get my son some Christmas gifts.

so now that i’ve picked up my final check from Tasta Pizza, lets get this out there.
As Charles informed everyone last week, i put my 2 weeks notice in and explained i was offered a full time day job that i cannot turn down. i have a fiancé & a 4 year old at home that i don’t get very much time with because i was working nights at Tasta. so when my family gets home from work & school, i’m heading out the door to work. even after offering to help out a couple nights a week there after i start my new job, i was told by the owner’s daughter THROUGH TEXT that the owner did not want me to return & that i didn’t need to finish my last 2 weeks. obviously i’m going to be upset about being left jobless for 2 or so weeks because i have bills to pay & not only that, we’re coming up on christmas FAST. i was told i could call & talk to Mike(the owner) so i did just that. upon speaking with him i was told that it’s disrespectful of me to be job searching while still being employed by him. when i went on to question how it’s disrespectful of me to look for a better opportunity for myself & give myself a chance to actually spend time with my family, i was met with “well how do you think my daughter feels when she has 2 kids at home she barely sees because of work.” so what i take away from that is that it’s not okay for me to be upset i don’t get to see my family because his daughter works there too & barely sees her family. not only was i treated this way for seeking a better opportunity for myself, but Mike treats most of his employees poorly. when personally questioned about employee performance while he was not there, he referred to other employees as “idiots” or “dummies.” mind you, most of the staff there are minors working their FIRST job. with all this being said, i would refrain from allowing your child(ren) to work for Tasta Pizza & if you’re any sort of a decent human being, i would refuse to ever go to this establishment.
someone who does not know how to treat a human being like a human being has zero right to operate a business let alone a business that literally operates on human interaction. i don’t wanna be the person tearing up a business online, but honestly, i’ve never been treated so poorly by a work place in my life.
