We are Realtors® from across the USA who are passionate about helping the Ukrainian refugees. Some of us have family members with heartbreaking stories who are unable to leave Ukraine or have emigrated to other countries. All of us are eager to help!
Ronna, a Realtor® from the Janesville, WI area, recently went with her husband to the border of Ukraine and Poland to provide humainitian help for the refugees. They also purchased and took bulletproof vests to a minister in Ukraine. Ronna said she has never seen such devistation and saddness , yet at the same time witnessed some of the sweetest moments with children being so appreciative and happy because they were given something as simple as a piece of candy.
With the war raging on and the refugee crisis continues, Ronna and her husband are determined to continue helping as much as they can. They are going back at the beginning of April to provide food, medical supplies, clothing, and military equipment. They have spoken with two groups that need supplies. One is a minister of a church. He requested more protective gear for his drivers to be as safe as they can when running supplies to the necessary places. The other group is the Center of Social Security for Kyiv. They help children, people with disabilities, and the elderly. They really need medications and food. Clothing is another item they could use.
Tatyana is another Realtor® who's very passionate in helping with the crisis. She has family in Ukraine and a cousin who fled. Her cousin said that walking shoes are needed badly. Many of the refugees walked long distances in shoes that weren't comfortable.
Many of these items can be purchased in Europe for cheaper prices than in the United States. Vargo shipping is also expensive. Money is very very important for us to have in order to purchase items and ship any items we get donated to our cause.
