Sorry for no photos, we live a private life and my fiance isn't even aware I have made this...

Let me start by saying,

I don't like making this, it makes my stomach turn to resort to putting my hands out like this... but I made a promise to do everything I could. So the way I see it, if I let my pride keep me from even trying then I didn't really do everything I could..

Long story short, tldr;

I used my portfolio of 30k, to keep a friend afloat while awaiting to get their 2mil inheritance. I gave them rides to the lawyers, helped with paperwork and then they literally vanished from my reach when the day came.

That portfolio was my entire life's work after trying to better my life for my family's future since flipping burgers for minimum wage isn't going to cut it.

Now I have no money, had to move us to my parents house with my hoarding mother with no room for even our change of clothes to go anywhere.

I desperately want to get my girl into the doctor's and specialist she needs to see but right now we have no insurance and no money.

Now I'm back trying to start over applying to anywhere hiring, including fast food for min wage.

I had a knack for investing and did decent turning the little money I had into 30k in two years... today had I not closed my portfolio to help a close friend... it would be worth over 200k..

I'm not looking for someone to hand me the money I would have earned, I'm not looking for someone to hand me the money I used to keep a friend afloat for a year, give or take... I'm really not expecting any money period, but I would do anything to provide for who I love.. and this is a hail Mary to maybe get to the doctor.. and if by some miracle it happens, and some how theirs money left over... then that money would go to restarting that journey to a better life.

I know times are hard and I don't expect anything... but anyone that does give would not only be greatly appreciated but would really help me see that not everyone would be as cold as someone I trusted for nearly half my life.. I wish the best to you all. And I apologize for my rambling or venting.. I just, it hurts to see what my portfolio would be worth. It hurts to not be able to provide now, to have threw away the security I offered the woman I love... I helped this friend because I knew they where good for it, they made me feel like the universe was recognizing my efforts... and now I'm just back where I started, and now I don't have the luxury of being young and able to save money to try investing... I've never felt like I dropped the ball so bad, I just want to give the family I'm trying to build a real life. And I had it in my grasp and idk... I just hope someone atleast learns from my mistake if they read this..

I worked flipping burgers for minimum wage. Wanted to provide for the family I was trying to build.

I started investing and turned my little bit of money into 30k, with a strong portfolio that would be worth over 200k today.

I removed that 30k from my portfolio to support my close friend who was inheriting 2mil and several apartment buildings from their father.

That friend vanished never making good on the business opportunity helped build for his inheritance, the money they promised me, or when the 30k I spent supporting them through the legal process of the inheritance.

Now the woman I wish to marry is having a health scare I can't afford to see about.

I had to move us in at my parents with my hoarding mother and no central cooling, or enough room for my loves daughter to have her own space.

I went from having built my own security in our future, to being un able to provide.

Back to having to applying for minimum wage jobs and fastfood or anywhere hiring. Which isn't the issue, but it hurts to return to once you have escaped it and could taste success..

And having ruined what was my perfect credit score and built a small debt... all because I trusted a long time friend.. who I know for an absolute fact signed for nearly 2 mil plus apartment buildings..

Sorry I feel like I've vented in this more than anything... it just hurts so so so much to see what my portfolio would be worth today if I hadn't helped a friend I thought i could trust... a friend who could afford to pay me back 10 times over for my help and still be better off than myself.. and I still won't talk ill about them, because if I do they really took everything from me... including my heart for others.. maybe one day they will come back around and make things right... but I can't count on that.. I have to start over completely, because you can hope and pray for the best, but always prepare for the worst..

I am not looking for anyone to bail me out for my mistake in trusting a friend and costing my life's savings, future, security and hard work...

But I would greatly appreciate any help at covering my future wife's medical bills... I don't even want to elaborate on the scare because I don't want to speak anything into existence.. so I don't blame anyone for not wanting to help with out the details.

This is purely a shot in the dark. I don't expect anything to come of this, I am a bit of a loner and don't like to ask for handouts from people I know are struggling in their own lives, nor do I even have social media to go posting this on to seek an audience... but if anyone happens to come across this and does decide to lend any type of help I want you to know that your care is noticed, appreciated and shows me that not everyone would do someone as cold as my friend did me.

My name is Mr.Forbes, and I want to keep this to the point as I don't want to waste anyone's time.

I am 31 year old, engaged to my future wife and excited to be a provider for her, her daughter, and the family we hope to build together.

I thought I knew best as a kid and squandered every opportunity I might have had until I was flipping burgers for 7 years.

I wanted nothing more than to be a provider and knew I couldn't provide the life they deserved making minimum wage, so I found away to escape it.

When I finally took a leap into investing in the markets, I found my passion. Work that didn't feel like work after even 13 hours of studying trends and charts.

I put my all into it and turned the little bit of money I had into 30k. The 30k sitting in my account was the biggest mile stone of my financial life, but that money needed to stay in my portfolio to continue to generate growth on returns.

The only friend I have held on to in life lost their father a few years ago. This friends life was dependent on their fathers company, and when the company and all his assets were frozen pending the legality of the inheritance they fell on hard times. They struggled to support their family that had been dependent on their income for years. And being raised by my saint of a mothers gracious heart, I helped anyway I could. Still I was careful not to jeopardize my own future.

As time went own this friend of mine appreciated I didn't treat him differently once I learned how much he would be inheriting. They approached me afraid that their financial illiteracy would cause them to lose the near two million and multiple properties they would be inheriting.

Long story short, time dragged on as most legal matters do. Meanwhile I helped them file for their business, obtain their ein and open their business bank account.

They knew I had a passion for finances and numbers, with a drive to earn for myself and asked if I would partner with them to help manage their assets so they didn't lose the legacy their father built and left to them.

I felt like this was the universe rewarding me for turning my life around, for putting all that hard work in to getting out of the situation of flipping burgers for minimum wage that I put myself in a very stupid young adult. I felt life was giving me an opportunity to provide the life I felt the ones I loved deserved.

I had helped them go over all the paper work, met the lawyers and knew exactly what they where getting... so I felt that it was my responsibility to help support them until they signed the paperwork. I felt like this was my contribution that life wanted me to give for catching this break in life and being given this opportunity.

Just months before the date to sign approached, I had pulled nearly every dollar from my portfolio and was struggling to support myself.

Now I haven't heard from this friend. The last I heard was they bought a lake estate and moved out of state.

I don't want to out them as a bad person, I'd like to think they will come around one day and have a reason for vanishing after I used my life savings to keep them afloat... I don't really want to out anyone's identity beyond my last name out or everyone's respect for privacy, especially considering Noone knows I have even taken such a desperate attempt..

Now...

I had to move us back in at my parents, who are struggling to much themselves to help us in anyway other than giving us a bedroom used to house my mother's hoarding.

I am applying back at fast food for minimum wage.

The love of my life is having a health scare that I can't afford to even see through to know whether it's just a scare or something more.

And the 30k portfolio I had built would be worth of 200k. I what was once my passion is now just a grim reminder of my biggest failure.

If by any miracle anything actually comes of this hail Mary, all funds will go directly towards each priority in order..

My fiance getting into the doctor's and specialist she needs to know what's going on for certain and address it as we go.

If their is any money left over (and I feel silly writing this, I don't expect this to do anything in this economic climate but I promised myself I would do everything I could to provide and after losing everything,, this felt worth a shot.) Then that money will go towards living expenses.. groceries, rent,

If theirs still any money then that would go directly back into a portfolio... I might have tossed away my future and looking at the markets hurts me to my core but it's something i love and really believe i have a knack for... so I will restart my investing..
