My name is Justin Bonia
I am setting up a page for my sister. A little background about my sister. She is 30 years of age. She is married and has a Bichon named Brady.
My sister was a nurse during the pandemic this past year. She worked at nursing facility. Unfortunately the pandemic hit places like this the most. She had to tag those who were deceased. Often times she had to list COVID as the cause of death prior. Because of this she felt like she needed to make a change.
The pandemic was especially difficult for multiple reasons. My sister deals with a rare disease called Pandis. She developed it in high school. Her immune system is severely compromised. My sister risked her own health to save others. She is the most selfless people I have ever met.
My sister also deals with a husband who deals with Bipolar and had to be put in a facility. He also struggles with hearing impairment. This made it even more difficult for my sister.
After taking on a new job, she developed panic attacks daily to the point where she couldn't physically go into work. It got to the point where her doctor diagnosed her with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Doctors are saying that nurses are facing the same issues as those in the military. Unless you are in those kind of positions, you don't typically have to deal with people dying.
For the past couple months my sister has been on disability. Unfortunately her disability has ended. Even after a couple months out of work my sister is still severely depressed. She barely likes to go outside and still has trouble functioning in large gatherings.
I am setting the goal for $5,000 because she has no money coming because her husband is also on a leave of absence from work because his medication needed to be changed due to his bipolar.
I have been trying to help my family, but times are tough these days. I wouldn't make this page, if I didn't think it was a worthy cause. Anything helps!
