Hello everyone, it is with a heavy heart that I have to write this, but our fur baby Bazooka Bella is in need of emergency surgery due to a life-threatening infection in her uterus. On Tuesday morning, she suddenly started bleeding a lot out of her vulva, so we took her to the emergency vet. Upon examination, the doctors informed us that she had pyometra a very bad infection in her uterus, and due to the severity of the situation, she would need surgery ASAP. We knew emergency surgeries aren't cheap, but when they quoted us an estimate of $8,000-$10,000, we were a bit taken back as we knew there's no way we could cover the full amount. We are looking into other clinics to try and find a place that would be more reasonable to our financial situation but we are also short on time and need help. The veterinarian made it very clear that she needs surgery as soon as possible. We understand firsthand that many are struggling in the current economy, but we are hoping that with the help of our friends and the community, we can give Bella the care that she needs.
