Many people know who Ben and Jenny Nowain are. They are community leaders, parents, patriots, and just all around good, intelligent, educated people. They have recently been targeted by the local MAGA people including 2 sitting county supervisors. Supervisor Chris Kelstrom was exposed for sending threatening text messages about Ben, and supervisor Patrick Jones was caught on a hot mic calling Jenny "stupid".

If you are unfamiliar with the term "stochastic terrorism", it's when a person with influence says something negative about another less powerful person in the hopes that one of their supporters might "do something about it". This is a tactic Donald Trump uses on what seems to be a daily basis.

At the last Board of Supervisors meeting, Jenny was viciously attacked by 4 of Patrick Jones and Chris Kelstrom's followers for simply speaking for her 3 minutes at the podium. She was attacked by Leslie Sawyer, Kimberly Moore, Teresa Roberts, and Lori Bridgeford. This attack caused Jenny to have a nervous breakdown during her next speech at the podium.

I will not include the speech she gave as to protect her from further ridicule from these horrible people, however many people witnessed it. It was absolutely heart-wrenching and something that should not have happened, and Jenny certainly did not deserve to be attacked in such a way.

I also would like to state that I do not believe that what she did in any way proves that she is "weak", in fact, just the opposite. To be able to be so vulnerable in such a public setting takes courage, bravery and conviction. These are character traits that Ben and Jenny have in abundance.

So this fundraiser is for Ben and Jenny to be able to purchase body cams, and a home security system to keep themselves protected, but still be able to engage in their civic patriotic duty.
