Dear friends and supporters,
I am writing to you today with an open heart to share the story of a remarkable woman - Katrina Phillips. Katrina is an incredibly talented and multifaceted individual, who has touched the lives of so many people through her various endeavors. A Cherished Daughter, Sister, Auntie…a True Friend, a renowned Human Rights activist, and an over all exceptional Human Being~~
Katrina has recently been faced with a daunting challenge. She was diagnosed with massive tumors which threaten a heart attack or stroke and is actively pursuing treatments towards her full recovery to health and wellness. Her battle has and will been long and difficult, but throughout it all, she has remained an inspiration to all those around her, refusing to let her illness define her or diminish her spirit. As she continues her treatment, Katrina is in need of financial support to cover the costs of her care. Despite her independent and self-sufficient nature, she recognizes the need for help and is humbled by the outpouring of support and love, (which is what we all need deeply), from her friends, family, and community.
Through this fundraiser organized in her honor, those who know and admire Katrina can contribute to her cause, showing their love and appreciation for all that she has done and continues to do.
Katrina has spent her life fighting for the rights of marginalized communities. She has used her voice and talents to raise awareness and promote change, and she has been a tireless advocate for justice and equality. As the Sonoma County Chair on Human Rights,Katrina has made an incredible impact on her community. She has worked hard to ensure that every person in the County is treated with respect and dignity.
But Katrina's contributions go far beyond her work in the public sphere. She is a talented actress who has captivated audiences with her performances on stage and screen. Katrina's talents are not limited to activism and entertainment, however. She is also a gifted poet and writer, with a unique and evocative style that reflects her passion for social justice and her own personal journey. Her work is characterized by its honesty, vulnerability, and unflinching exploration of difficult topics like trauma, abuse, and loss, unconditional love and what it is to be human…
She is a compassionate healer and maker of powerful medicines that have helped countless adults and children worldwide. By using her knowledge of natural medicine to help those in need, she to me personally is an angel. She is a kind-hearted and selfless person who always puts the needs of others before her own. Including animals! You may know Kat from The fire Pet Rescue and Reunification in Northern California. She has worked tirelessly going to the scene of burned down towns in California’s recent and past fires, and reuniting animals with their families, sometimes years later!
She is a skilled rescue volunteer who has put herself in harm's way to save animals and people in danger. She fully dedicates herself , which I deeply admire. She inspires, and is so treasured by us all in such unique ways.
Despite her many talents and accomplishments, Katrina has never been one to ask for help. She is a super strong and independent woman who has always been willing to take on the world. But now, as she faces this daunting health challenge, she needs our support more than ever.
Katrina remains positive and humble and grounded, always prioritizing the needs of others above her own, but we are hoping with our help she can take the proper care she needs. She is a true giver, always willing to lend a helping hand or offer support to those in need, whether through her work as a social advocate or her countless acts of kindness and generosity towards friends and strangers alike.
It is this spirit of selflessness and compassion that has made Katrina such a beloved and respected figure in her communities. Despite her current struggle with illness, she remains a beacon of hope and inspiration to all those around her, reminding us all of the power of love, kindness, and determination in the face of adversity.
