This weekend, I will be attending the Jesus + Justice event in Atlanta with my squad and fellow racers to hear more about the heart of Jesus. Part of this event is an early morning 5k in which the fee for participating helps raise awareness and mobilize the church to support SIX Mercy+Justice organizations that focus on restorative justice by championing youth development, mentorship, and compassionate policies for young people. I am super stoked to be participating in the 5k because running has been a part of my life for a few years now and I am excited to help fundraise for a good cause while I run. I thought that it would be a fun way to raise money toward my mission as well if I did a sort of "adopt a mile" for this 5k as well! I am ONLY $188 away from my next fundrasing goal (whoop whoop!), which equals out to about $61 dollars per mile. If you feel led to donate or have the means to do so, you could adopt a whole mile or even donate a few dollars in support! I think this would be a fun way to raise support for OneRace (organization hosting Jesus+Justice) and my mission trip because the Lord has his hands in both!
