On March 21 2022 Ted or Teddy as he is know in town lost his home to a fire. His friend he shared the house with did not make it out and she was found in the house the next morning. Ted is a veteran of the Vietnam war where he signed up and joined the Marines. He is well known and loved in Broad Brook always seen walking everywhere. Neither he nor his friend had a vehicle. He would help out local businesses keeping the parking lots picked up, helping out cleaning and taking trash out and other odd jobs. Ted was friendly and outgoing talking to everyone he met. He has very little means and losing his home and best friend will make it difficult to find a place. Everything will go to finding him a new start and if possible some transportation. They were putting money aside for a car for a long time and that is gone as well. Ted is a good guy and in a rough spot now.
