Hello! On May 12th, I will be getting top surgery at the Gender Confirmation Center in San Francisco! Hurrah!
Now you may be thinking...didn't he have several surgeries already? Yes, in 2023, I had a breast reduction -- with the hopes of aligning my chest with my then non-binary gender identity. In 2024 and 2025, I had liposuction done to get as small as possible without another surgery.
Since my initial surgery, I have come into my identity as a transgender man and am seeking alignment between my gender identity and my body. A fun perk of having taken this gradual approach is that the doc is confident that he can preserve my original nipples in this surgery (which would not have been an option if I had gone full mastectomy off the bat!).
During my previous surgeries, I was working and was able to pay for them myself. Today, being in law school living off of student loans, money is tight and I need to ask for help <3 Thank you for supporting me in a lifetime of feeling at home in my body! It means the world.
