John Landmark's Story: It has been difficult these last few years. In 2018, I had to resign from ministry because of health reasons. Over the years, my health has only deteriorated. I've experienced several coronary interventions from stents to angioplasty. I had a heart attack last year. I currently need medical intervention procedures to stay alive every 6 months or so. I am now diagnosed with a cognitive impairment disorder. I fell in May and suffered a concussion that left me without the ability to drive as I cannot focus my eyes at the same time.
Beyond the physical pain, my wife lost her battle to cancer during the covid pandemic and my mom passed the same year. My support network comes down to me trusting in God, the Church, and asking for help from you.
After my wife passed, I downsized to an assisted living facility recently, but was notified the facility was increasing my rent to the point I can no longer afford to live here. My church kicked in enough so I would not have to move over Christmas, but I do not have enough money to pay my bills and move to a new town and new assisted living facilities, while disabled.
For everyone who knows me and for those who do not, I am trying to raise $5,000 to pay my bills, avoid eviction during the holidays and pay the deposit at the new facilities. I have government assistance to get me through once I move. I just need help to get through this. Whether or not you can afford to help me financially, I would be forever grateful for your prayers. I will be praying for you as well.
