The tornados that swept through Arkansas on March 31, 2023 impacted a lot of people. My sister, and her kids are among those affected. My sister is a single mother of three with a full time job. Her home was hit by the tornado- Thankfully no one was home at the time. Her two kitties are unharmed, and doing well with a friend.

I know that my sister would not ever make something of this sort, so I took it upon myself after seeing firsthand all weekend how much this is affecting their little family. I jumped to help as much as I could and I know that without a doubt, Monica would have done the same for anyone else. Her and I have both been involved with past tornado mission work together. Tornados are definitely no stranger to Arkansas.
The kids are all younger (ages 10, 9 and 4) They aren’t really able to fully understand something like this; and it’s affected them in ways that is really heartbreaking as well. All three of the children have lost everything except for some clothing that was able to be saved. They will all need new beds, bedding, some toys, etc. The tornado damage covers more than half of their home. Insurance has been contacted, but they are of course backed up due to the amount of claims being made at this time, as this is understandable. They have had to pay out of pocket for a hotel this week due to being displaced. I know that my sister will also need to be able to feed everyone during the week and moving forward until they can get a place where they can cook, there are limited options.
I wanted to set this up to help raise money for them as they are all really distraught over this devastation. I know that it will take a while to rebuild, and there is no telling how long it will take before they are able to make that happen and be able to return to their home. I want to try to make this process a little less stressful for them as they are already dealing with the loss of their home, and everything that comes with the process of rebuilding. I know that my sister has put a lot of money and work into fixing up her home including but not limited to new floors last year, repainted the entire house, new fence and more. No one really knows when things like this are going to happen, and with the way the economy is, this adds incredibly to the struggle. It would be very much appreciated if anyone can help contribute to this fund to go towards feeding their family, hotel cost, and the deductible for insurance etc. If you would like to donate towards the children's fund to replace things that is amazing as well! Anything, no matter how big or small is going to be GREATLY appreciated!

Update: they were finally able to get into a temporary apartment and with everyone’s help, they were able to get the kids beds; and food! 🙏🏼🙏🏼
