Help Me Bring My Boys Home
My name is Tricia, and I am a single mom to two amazing boys. Today, I'm asking for help during the most difficult time of my life.
Last Saturday, I experienced a sudden medical emergency and was admitted to the hospital for several days. While I was hospitalized, my sons were released into the care of family members in North Carolina. This happened despite my understanding that the existing court order required that I be notified before they could leave the state.
Because I was hospitalized, I was unable to advocate for my children or be part of the decisions being made. I am now facing the overwhelming challenge of bringing my boys home and navigating the legal process to reunite our family.
A case has been opened with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, and I am currently waiting to learn whether Iowa Legal Aid will approve my application for legal assistance.
At the same time, I am in the process of applying for Social Security Disability (SSDI). Because of my medical condition, I am currently unable to work and have no income. My former partner is also nearly $6,000 behind in court-ordered child support, making this situation even more difficult.
Every donation, no matter the amount, will help with:
- Travel and expenses to bring my boys home.
- Legal fees and court-related costs.
- Housing and basic living expenses while I wait for my SSDI application and legal assistance.
If you are unable to donate, sharing my story would mean the world to me.
Thank you for your kindness, your prayers, and your support during this incredibly difficult time. My greatest hope is to have my boys safely back where they belong—home with me.
