My god son is 17 years old with a mental illness. He had a episode this year April 17th he was sent to MCG because he took some pills trying to kill his self once they got him stabilized and the medicine out of his system he had another episode thinking the staff wanted to kill him. They left him unattended and he tried breaking himself out he jumped out of the 5 floor window after he went from the 4 floor to the 1, then ran from the 2 floor to the 5 floor and jumped. In results to this episode he damaged the hospital property. Mom called to see how the damages could be handled no answer. Here it is time for school and the jail system wants to charge him with 4 counts of obstruction against an officer, and damage to government property they got my baby on the violent side. Our family hands are tied no resources no help nothing. I just want to fight the system to have my mental ill child home specially off the violent side my babies not a criminal he was just calling out for help and received the opposite.
