I'm Joyce and I started this campaign to help my friend Hamza and his family in Gaza survive genocide. His story is below:
My father was never a man who sought luxury. He was a man who toiled and struggled his life to provide us with a simple and dignified life. For years, he woke before sunrise to go to his small factory, then returned to tend to the farm, overseeing every detail. He always said, "Today's toil... tomorrow's rest."
His house... his factory... his farm... was all he owned.
But the war left us with nothing.
In moments, everything he had built over the years became rubble and dust.
Our house, once filled with laughter, collapsed on top of our memories.
The factory my father worked so hard to establish burned to the ground.
The farm withered and vanished.
The car became an empty shell.
Suddenly, we found ourselves homeless, without income, with nothing to lean on... as if his entire life had been erased.
But the hardest blow wasn't to our possessions...
It was to my father's heart.
The grief, the shock, and the immense psychological pressure caused his health to rapidly decline. One day, he collapsed in front of us, clutching his chest tightly… It was a heart attack.
He was rushed to the hospital, where we discovered his condition was very serious, and that his nerves were shattered by what he had endured. The doctor told us bluntly:
“Your father needs treatment and surgery as soon as possible… his condition cannot wait.”
But the necessary treatment isn't available here, and they recommend he be transferred abroad urgently.
With everything we've lost… we have nothing left to sell, nothing left to offer, not even enough to cover a small portion of the surgery or travel costs.
We look at my father every day… we see him struggling to breathe, trying to hide his pain so as not to burden us, even though he can no longer stand for long periods. This war has struck him at his greatest strengths… his heart and his resilience.
Today, we appeal to kind people, to those with compassionate hearts, to anyone who can lend a hand to save the life of a man who lived his life with dignity and never asked anything of anyone…
Help us save my father. Help us restore his hope for life.
Every donation, no matter how small, could be the reason for saving him and bringing life back to our family.
May God reward everyone who helps us, and grant them a great reward known only to Him.
May God place every good deed on the scale of good deeds.

Hello, I am Hamza Al-Shami, I live in the Al-Zana area, east of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip. I am known as a photographer and designer in the world.
I was living in a house full of love and hope, until the last war came and destroyed everything. Our house, which my father built with great effort, was completely destroyed. Not only did we lose our home, but we also lost our livelihood, our cultivated land, our only car, and even my small business that I relied on to earn a living, which was photography.
Hamza's family home before it was destroyed by bombs.
Our house was not just a house, it was a three-story family apartment building, accommodating more than 30 people. Each floor housed family members and filled them with warmth and love.
My photography gear and equipment was destroyed, and I did not receive any of my photography equipment back home no. There was nothing left of them.
Hamza's camera bag.
Those days were full of pain and sadness, but I decided not to give in to despair. Instead, I decided to share funny videos about the devastation with people in Gaza, but behind the smile my heart was sad for all we had lost.
But I have not given up. I want to rebuild again with your support and solidarity. I launched this campaign to restore hope for myself and my family. Let's rebuild our house, farm our land, buy a new car to regain our freedom of movement, and rebuild my small hot beverage business so I can live in dignity and earn a living.
Please join me on this journey. Every drop of contribution renews hope in my heart and brings life back to my shattered land. Contribute whatever you can, and share the story so we can reach our goal together.
Your support, whether through generous donations or by sharing my campaign, has the power to reshape our narrative. I'm eager to share updates on my family's journey toward safety and a fresh start. Follow my story on Instagram: @7AMZAALSHAMI
My father recently suffered a heart attack due to the tremendous stress we are under, and my older sister is battling cancer amidst a lack of healthcare. We now urgently need your help to secure the necessary treatment for them.
My father, who has always been the pillar of the family, suffered a severe heart attack due to the stress and pressures that were exacerbated by the war. His health condition is critical, and he needs urgent and continuous treatment, including medication and physiotherapy sessions, but the possibilities available in Gaza are very limited.
We are facing huge challenges, and we cannot handle these circumstances alone. Our goal is to raise funds to secure:
- My father’s treatment:
Covering the costs of necessary medications and heart attack treatment, in addition to physical therapy sessions.
- My sister’s treatment:
Transferring her outside of Gaza to receive the chemotherapy and specialized care she needs in her battle against cancer.
- Covering the costs of travel and medical care outside of Gaza to ensure they have the best chance of recovery.
This support will help me and my family exit Gaza for medical treatment and start a new life. Thank you for investing your time in reading my story and considering the impact of your support.
We have no shelter or tent to live in after the bombing that happened
Where there are no walls to protect, and no reassuring sky, a tent was pitched on sandy ground, inhabited by Hamza and his family, after their home was destroyed in the previous bombing.
The tent was everything: a home, a kitchen, a bedroom, and a place for small dreams. Despite the poverty, they tried to laugh, to live, and to resist forgetting.
One evening, between sunset and the evening prayer, the atmosphere was very quiet.
Suddenly... a sound echoed in the sky.
Then, a moment later, a missile fell on the area, and then we saw the rubble of the bombing.
An explosion. A scream. A fire.
People rushed... but what can be salvaged from a tent?
