Hello! My name is Tara, and this is my ESA cat, Princess Leia. We met in April 2024, and it was love at first sight. Unfortunately, my other love has decided to discard me yet again, and that’s why I’m here. I’ve been disabled since 2019, due to multiple autoimmune disorders, several chronic disorders, and I also struggle with cPTSD, anxiety & more…I had to have open heart surgery to repair my mitral valve prolapse in 2020, and it’s been a struggle ever since! I applied for disability back then, but due to COVID & other delays, I was forced to go back to work and disability denied my claim. Unfortunately, I was unable to find meaningful work that could accommodate my disabilities, so I stopped working in March 2023. My ex has been supporting me during this time, because I’m in the middle of my 2nd disability claim & simply put, I cannot return to work until my claim gets approved! Which is why I am here, asking my friends, family, acquaintances, and strangers for help-I am trying to raise $3,500 to help get Leia & I into our own rental! I would like to be able to pay 3 months rent + deposit, so that we can settle in & I can focus on working with an attorney on my claim. I also need to set up utilities, a cell phone plan, and insurance on my truck. I also will need to get some things for our place, as I’m pretty much starting over from nothing. I did not leave my marriage with much, and my ex is not giving me anything to help me start over either, so I am completely on my own & absolutely terrified! I have no one to help me, and having to ask for help is extremely hard for me, but I am out of options & I desperately need to find safe, affordable housing. I am at the absolute lowest point in my life, but I refuse to give up & if you know me, you know I always try to help others whenever I can…I will definitely be paying it forward when I get back on my feet! I will be able to do that with your help, and any amount TRULY will help us so much!
