Hello! My name is Elizabeth Lynch and I am Miss West Virginia 2022. In December, I will have the opportunity to compete for the job of Miss America. Help me earn a spot in the top eleven at Miss America and receive scholarships to put toward my education by donating today. Let me tell you some information about myself!
I am a native of Martinsburg, West Virginia and I am honored to represent the Mountain State while advocating for my lifelong passion of agriculture. My social Impact Initiative, ”Growing Up, Growing Ag: Advocating for American Agriculture”, seeks to promote agricultural literacy and raise awareness about the benefits of farming and agriculture. I believe agriculture is the backbone of our great nation. I know that regardless of where my life takes me, I will always share the importance of agriculture and encourage everyone to thank a farmer. My "Farmer Friday” weekly broadcast has over 3,000 viewers and features agriculturists, legislators, and leaders in the agriculture industry. To follow my journey, follow me at @missamericawv on Instagram, “Miss West Virginia” on Facebook, "Miss West Virginia- Elizabeth Lynch" on Youtube, and @missamericawv on TikTok.
While at Delaware State University, I was a D1 equestrian athlete, Presidential Scholar, and a Chi Alpha Sigma National Athletic Honors Society member. I spent time doing research with small ruminant animals and fell in love with parasitology! I graduated with my B.S. in animal science with a minor in biology in the Spring of 2020.
I worked closely with Poultry Specialists to facilitate and conduct research and with the WVU Pilot Feed Mill for feed manufacturing. Most recently, I taught agriculture extension workshops across the state as a WVU graduate research assistant. My next step is to receive my PhD in animal science with the intention of becoming a professor at a land grant university with a three-way split appointment.
