Support Samba Ja's 2026 Axé Festival!
On August 1, 2026, the heart of Eugene will come alive with the vibrant sounds of samba as drumming groups from across the Pacific Northwest gather at the Eugene Downtown Riverfront Park for the Axé (ah-shay) Festival. Samba Ja, Eugene's own samba drumming institution, is hosting this free, family‑friendly celebration.
At its core, Samba Ja's Axé Festival is a community offering: a chance for people of all ages to enjoy an afternoon of uplifting rhythms, delicious food from local vendors, artisan goods, and activities that bring neighbors together.
To make this day happen, Samba Ja needs your help.
We’re raising $3,500 to support the essential costs that make the festival possible—primarily artist travel and logistics needed to host such a large gathering with care. Every contribution, big or small, directly helps us bring musicians to Eugene, support local cultural arts, and keep the event free and accessible to everyone in our community.
Your support means:
• More artists able to travel from throughout the region
• A vibrant, diverse lineup of samba performances
• A well-supported festival infrastructure for 400 attendees
• A joyous, family-friendly celebration that stays free and open to all
If you believe in community arts and in keeping cultural events free and accessible, we invite you to join us in bringing the Axé Festival to life.
Thank you for helping us create an unforgettable day of music, culture, and community spirit.
Will you help us make the rhythm happen?
