Friends and family: Friday, April 4th our brother Adam was admitted to the hospital and has been in critical condition since. What was thought to be a simple illness, seeking meds and a possible IV treatment turned into so much more. He tested positive for Influenza A, was extremely dehydrated and down spiraled into on-set diabetes, kidney and pancreatic issues, fever and infection. After being admitted to ICU after about 24 hours he went into respiratory failure and has been intubated since. The doctors and staff have been caring for Adam around the clock keeping his numbers and care controlled the best they can, considering the state he is in. Adam, a veteran, a father, a soon to be husband, a son, a brother and so much more is fighting and not giving up. We as a family, are not giving up.
As you can imagine this has brought on so many obstacles for his family. Emotional, mental and financial. Adam and his fiancé Jess had their first child together, Mikael, five months ago and Jess is a stay-at-home mom. With Adam in this condition there is no income coming in to help with everyday costs and expenses that Adams job would take care of. We realize we are all facing financial hardships but if you can and are willing to help in any way; it would be helpful and greatly appreciated. Any donation and all prayers are appreciated more than you know.
Dear Lord, we come before you today with heavy hearts, seeking your grace and healing for our brother who is in the ICU. We pray for his strength, comfort, and a swift recovery, and we ask for your guidance for the medical team caring for him. May your peace be with him and with us. Amen.
