Friends and family: Friday, April 4th our brother Adam was admitted to the hospital and has been in critical condition since. What was thought to be a simple illness, seeking meds and a possible IV treatment turned into so much more. He tested positive for Influenza A, was extremely dehydrated and down spiraled into on-set diabetes, kidney and pancreatic issues, fever and infection. After being admitted to ICU after about 24 hours he went into respiratory failure and has been intubated since. The doctors and staff have been caring for Adam around the clock keeping his numbers and care controlled the best they can, considering the state he is in. Adam, a veteran, a father, a soon to be husband, a son, a brother and so much more is fighting and not giving up. We as a family, are not giving up.

As you can imagine this has brought on so many obstacles for his family. Emotional, mental and financial.  Adam and his fiancé Jess had their first child together, Mikael, five months ago and Jess is a stay-at-home mom.  With Adam in this condition there is no income coming in to help with everyday costs and expenses that Adams job would take care of. We realize we are all facing financial hardships but if you can and are willing to help in any way; it would be helpful and greatly appreciated. Any donation and all prayers are appreciated more than you know.

Dear Lord, we come before you today with heavy hearts, seeking your grace and healing for our brother who is in the ICU. We pray for his strength, comfort, and a swift recovery, and we ask for your guidance for the medical team caring for him. May your peace be with him and with us. Amen.

Adam is no longer intubated or in ICU/moved to another floor. Most of what he was battling is on the up and up; however, he is still fighting to heal his kidneys and pancreas. While he is moving in the right direction he is still in critical/stable condition, weak and tired. Please keep the prayers going. His family misses him dearly; his high energy and bringing us all together, in a good way. Much love XOXO

An Update From Jess:

I got here this morning (4.14.25) and they took the tube out! He’s up and coherent! Already being his cocky self and joking around with everyone here! They are doing a round of dialysis again today. We are far from at the end of the road, but we are making progress! Adam is beyond amazed at all of the outpouring of love, support and prayers. I showed him the go fund me and how many people donated and he was sooooo surprised! Another day of rest! Lets go Baby you got this!!! Keep the prayers coming!

As expected, it was an up and down weekend. Adam is holding but not without some struggles still with his pancreas and kidneys. He is however, communicating with the family.  Yesterday he was using his hands to signal and was able to write a message on paper. This morning, they removed the tube today and he is able to talk. He couldn't believe he has been there for 10 days. Keep praying. Much love XOXO

Update: 4.10.2025

As the doctors warned us, there will be good days and there will be bad days. Yesterday was not the best day but they steadily keep working on getting Adam better. Keep Praying please.

Update: another move in the right direction. Off most of the meds and only on sedatives. Tomorrow they re-evaluate to get him off of the ventilator! They also fed him today and had no issues with that! Let’s go Baby! One step closer…on this long road!
