Hey y’all, I’m a 30-year-old mom to two beautiful boys, ages 9 and 7, and we have two dogs. For the past six years, we’ve lived on my family’s land in what should be a one-bedroom house with an outdoor shower—no bathtub. I work full-time and do my best to save, but it’s been tough to get ahead. We were displaced in 2019 due to domestic violence, and since then, I’ve been working hard to rebuild our lives and create a safe, loving environment for my children.
We’re hoping to buy a home of our own so my boys can finally have their own rooms, our dogs can have space to play, and we can all enjoy the privacy and stability we’ve been longing for. I homeschool my children because they have autism, and having a home that meets their needs would make a world of difference for them. I want to give them the chance to experience the comfort and security every child deserves.
