I’ve had my car for five years, and I’m just a payment and a half away from finally paying it off. This car is the first big thing I’ve ever gotten on my own, and I’ve never missed a payment. I was so close to celebrating that milestone but now I’m facing a setback. My inspection is due by the end of September 2025, and right before I was going to get it done, the dreaded check engine light came on. After getting it checked, I found out it’s the catalytic converter. Ford gave me an estimate of about $1,500 including labor, which is something I simply can’t afford right now. I’ve hit a financial roadblock, and the last thing I wanted to do was ask for help. But I don’t want to lose my car, especially when I’m this close to owning it outright. On top of that, at my apartment complex, unregistered cars are at risk of being towed and that’s something I can’t let happen. This car means so much to me, and it’s my only reliable way to take care of daily responsibilities.
If you’re able to help, even a small donation would mean the world to me. And if you can’t give, simply sharing this campaign would help more than you know.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for any support you can give.
