Our mom, grandma, sister, aunt, and daughter, Jessica Gervais, has always been a source of strength and resilience. In January, she faced a total knee replacement surgery and, just as she started to regain her mobility, life threw us another curveball. In April, she was diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer. It felt like the ground shifted beneath us when she had to undergo surgery in June to remove the cancer from her left lung. Despite the surgeries, she summoned the courage to go back to work after her knee was healing, determined not to let anything hold her back.
Since then, she's been dealing with complications affecting her balance and walking, along with constant pain. Watching her navigate these challenges has been both humbling and heart-wrenching. Her spirit remains unbroken, inspiring everyone around her with her courage and determination. The financial strain has been significant, and although she would never ask for help, we're seeking support to alleviate some of the burden and allow her to focus on healing.
