We all know Bobby Horne as more than just Sir Mo from Men On a Mission. We know him as a kind, humble, and selfless man who has dedicated his life to lifting others up. Whether you knew him from the bright lights of the WWF in the 1990s or from his tireless work developing young talent all over the world most notably Texas, Bobby has always lived true to his name. He has always been a "Man on a Mission" to help others.

Right now, Bobby is fighting for his life in a Texas ICU. He has been in the hospital for the past 8 weeks. He is battling a severe blood infection and pneumonia. His loving wife Denise Jones has been by his side every step of the way, sharing updates and celebrating every small sign of improvement.

This is not Bobby’s first fight. In 2018, he received a kidney transplant, which required lifelong medication and care. In 2022, he endured a serious case of COVID-19 that once again placed him in intensive care followed by an emergency hernia surgery resulting in his having an ileostomy. We truly thought we might lose him then, but in classic Bobby fashion, he kicked out and came back stronger, continuing his mission to mentor and guide the next generation of wrestlers.

Bobby rose to fame in the early 1990s as one half of the rapping, fan-favorite tag team Men On a Mission alongside Mabel (later known as Viscera). Together, they captured the WWF Tag Team Championships during a 1994 UK tour. When Mabel won the 1995 King of the Ring tournament, Bobby transitioned into the role of Sir Mo, continuing to entertain fans around the world.

In recent years, Bobby has dedicated himself to helping others through his work in SOAR Championship Wrestling in Dallas, where he and Denise have given countless young wrestlers their first real opportunity. His contributions were recognized in 2024 when he was inducted into the Memphis Wrestling Hall of Fame, honoring both his legacy and his generosity.

Despite his many achievements, Bobby has never been a wealthy man. He and Denise have always given everything they had to others. They have given their time, their money, and their hearts without ever asking for much in return. Now, they need us.

This fundraiser is to help cover the growing medical bills, ongoing care, and the many expenses that come with a fight of this magnitude. These funds will help to cover medical and living expenses during this hospital stay.

Whatever your beliefs may be, we ask that you keep Bobby in your thoughts. Say a prayer. Send strength. Share his story. He has always been there for others. Now, it is our turn to be there for him. Please consider donating, no matter the size of your contribution. Every bit helps, and every gesture matters.

Bobby is still on a mission and we’re still praying hard for his recovery.

Update from one of Bobby’s daughters today, October 14.

Just a little catch up and update on Bobby Horne. After being diagnosed with Pneumonia and Septic shock last week, in the last 7 days, they have told us on 3 separate occasions that he may not make it through the night. The third time his body couldn’t tolerate Dialysis so they had to stop the machine and were afraid he may decline rapidly after. But he didn’t. He fought through and they were able to restart Dialysis this morning.

Y’all this man is such a fighter. 🤯 I knew it already but he continues to amaze us everyday!

As of right now the nurses are working on slowly tapering him off of the blood pressure medications so that they can start pulling off the fluids through Dialysis again. We also think the antibiotics are on the right track and have started fighting the infection.

His wound is still not in great shape, but that is something they will focus more on once he is back to being stable and off the blood pressure medications.

He is still in ICU and is still ventilated, but he has pulled through the worst 3 times now and is in better condition than he has been. It is still a long road, but we are looking up and being hopeful!

Please keep the prayers coming!

🫂And hug your loved ones today. Send them a mesaage to remind them that you love them. Because thats what Mo would do.

From Denise, Sunday, October 12

I'm sorry I haven’t posted an update in a several days. It’s been touch and go since Tuesday, and honestly, it’s taken me a while to find the words.
On Tuesday afternoon, Bobby began having a cough, and all the doctors scrambled to run every test they could, to find out what was wrong. They discovered pneumonia and that he was in septic shock. Things changed so quickly — it was terrifying how fast everything happened.
As his body grew weaker from heavy breathing, the doctors told us they needed to intubate him to help him rest.  So he was intubated Wednesday and by Wednesday evening, we heard the heartbreaking words— that he may not make it through the night. But if you know Bobby, you know he’s a fighter through and through… and he did make it through the night.
Thursday brought a little calm after the storm. But by Thursday morning he had been placed on four medicines to keep his blood pressure up, so things seemed a little more steady but still scary.  His daughters arrived from Tennessee that day, and we were so grateful gather together for him.
Then by Friday mid morning the doctors wanted to talk with the family again.  And once again we were told he may not make it.  They also at this time had discovered the exact bacterial infection and were able to adjust his antibiotics to help more and he pulled thru Friday.
Friday evening into Saturday we’ve seen a few small but meaningful steps in the right direction.  They've been able to wean him down to 3 blood pressure meds and his lactic acid has been going down even though it is still at a dangerously high level of 12.3.
He’s still intubated and still receiving 24/7 dialysis, but they can’t begin removing fluid until he’s off a couple more of the blood pressure meds.
His family from a North Carolina arrived in Dallas last night and is here with him this morning.
This has been such a scary and uncertain time, but Bobby continues to show us what faith, strength, and determination truly look like. Every time they’ve said he may not make it, he’s proved them wrong. He’s still fighting — one breath, one hour, one day at a time.
Please keep those prayers coming. Every single one is felt and appreciated more than you’ll ever know. ❤️

As of Friday, October 10:

Specific prayer request: that the klebsiella infection be completely eradicated from Bobby Horne’s body. That his lactic acid levels continue to drop. That his BP and heart rate stays up and they can ween him off the several medications helping to keep it at a good level and that they stay where they need to be as the medication is reduced. And, that his wound heals completely with zero complications! Pray that each of the healthcare workers are exactly those who he needs in place to administer the necessary care. That each person in his vicinity are exactly who’s needed to be by his side with tbe best knowledge for his situation. That their minds not fatigue in the continuous care they’re providing.

If you’re able, please donate to his fundraiser. Regardless of any donations, please lift him in your prayers. We prayed with him tonight with several of us gathered around his bed. We have faith that he will be with us ringside again but his health is imperative before his return. Thank you for all your support!
