Hi there,
Thank you for taking the time out of your day to potentially help with our fundraising campaign to get crucial dental work for our two dogs, Chloe and Jax.
A little background on the both of them before we begin! Chloe is about to turn 10 years old and was rescued by us when she was only 1 after she had faced severe neglect that caused part of her face to be collapsed. While it never holds her back, it has continued to cause dental issues for her as her teeth don’t align properly and are susceptible to fractures. She is the goofiest gal in the land and loves nothing more than to rest on pillows and sleep all day. Jax is about to turn 5 and was rescued by us when he was 1 after he was found as a stray and taken in by our local humane society. His time on the streets caused him to have already been missing quite a few teeth when we got him and therefore the teeth he does have are having to do extra work. He is a little fire cracker who loves to run, play, and spend time with people more than anything.
When taking them in for their yearly dental cleaning this year, which was supposed to be routine with costs covered by their vet insurance, it was found that both of them have a severely fractured tooth that has fractured through the root and under the gum line, possessing serious risk of infection, disease, and most obviously, substantial pain.
These tooth extractions require full anesthesia, suturing, pain meds, and follow up appointments with our vet to ensure they are healing properly. Our quote for these surgeries has been exponentially high and is not something we can take on on our own. We love our dogs more than anything in the world and would appreciate any help that we can get to help make them as comfortable as possible.
Thank you again for taking the time to read this and, if you can’t donate yourself, any sharing of our fundraiser would be greatly appreciated!
