Hey ya’ll!
My name is David Kim and this is a really long statement on why I started this fundraiser.
After graduating and getting a job that is related to my major in aviation, I began to realize that this wasn’t going to be what I wanted to do long term. At the start, the allure of the skies, the finance, the concept of aviation was the reason I applied to Embry-Riddle and the reason I spent five years and a lot of money to graduate. But over a year later into my job, there was a feeling that grew in me that there was something else that I needed to pursue. So I began to ponder on what I really enjoyed doing, what was sustainable, what was ultimately my passion.
I started to think, to pray, to share to people about such things, and all through the process I constantly reminded myself to let go and give my situation to the Lord and for Him to be my Guide in this uncertain time.
So that said, I decided to spend a year at Jesus School to strengthen my faith in Him, to learn more about Him and His ministry then and now, and to realize my vision for the future that my God holds for me. It’s going to be a time of refreshing, a time of rest, and a time of clarity as I spend time in the Word, in praise, in prayer, and amongst others who are in the same boat as I am.
I believe that starting this fundraiser is completely an exercise of faith and an avenue through which His goodness is shone and His provision provides through ways I cannot see.
I’m just a man trying to please His heart and find my passion to use it to ultimately glorify Him.
