I'm a single mother of two, working hard to rebuild our lives. After a year in recovery, I joyfully reunited with my children and secured our own apartment last Christmas. All seemed to be on track, yet I'm now struggling to cover our rent. Without a license, my commuting options are limited, and although I’ve paid much of the fees, I still need $150 for a class and $900 to reinstate my license. These funds are critical to ensure I can continue working and providing for my family.
Recently, a young couple with two small children was suddenly evicted from the apartment next to ours. They're new to the area and have nowhere to go. Unable to leave them in the cold, I welcomed them into our home temporarily. Now, I'm hoping to raise enough to cover both their deposit and first month's rent to give them the fresh start they deserve. Your help would not only support us but would also shelter another family in need.
