Because of a doctor’s error on critical paperwork, she is at risk of losing both her housing and her benefits—the very foundation of her stability. Without those supports, she’s left vulnerable to eviction and the terrifying possibility of being without a safe place to live. For her, her Kia isn’t just a car—it’s her backup refuge, her last line of defense, her way to keep moving forward while staying safe and hidden from her abuser.
But now, even that security is at risk. If she loses her car, she loses her mobility, her safety net, and her freedom.
