The Miss America Organization is a nonprofit and the largest provider of scholarships for young women in the United States. I have been involved with this organization for 10 years, starting as a Princess, competing as a Teen, and now competing for the chance to win Miss Virginia and represent our commonwealth at the Miss America Competition.
I have always dreamed of becoming a surgeon. I obtained my B.S. in Biology with a Minor in Chemistry from the Pre-Med program at Hollins University with a FULL TUITION scholarship, earned when I won Miss Virginia's Outstanding Teen in 2017! This was a huge financial relief for my family. Now, I am competing for the opportunity to earn scholarship money for medical school. There are many driven young women, with various educational and career aspirations, competing for the same reason.
