The Science Witch Podcast in collaboration with Rabbit Hole Productions is hosting a benefit show for Rainbow Railroad, an organization that helps LGBTQIA+ access gender affirming care as well as escape dangerous situations. Because we want to increase our reach and ability to draw in a global audience, we want to stream the event live. We are requesting resources and funds to help pay for a professional videographer (Adam Lansky) to stream the event, as well as produce high quality live recording of the show for the performers to use for their own promotional material. We are also seeking funds to pay the performers for their time and energy because we live in Late Stage Capitalism and want to help compensate the folks helping to put this amazing show on. All subsequently raised funds will go towards the Rainbow Railroad, in addition to the ticket sales and donations we get from people who tune into the live stream.
Right now with all the anti-trans legislation and rampant homophobia that has proliferated around the country, we need to come together as artists, creatives and musicians to support our trans and queer folx more than ever.
