We first adopted Gidget 3 years ago from the humane society, since then she's become a core and important member of our family. She is currently 11 years old as far as we know, as she was a senior cat and her exact dot is unknown. This last Sunday she starting having vomiting fits and was unable to use the restroom. At first, we thought she might have over eaten as she's done this before and usually perks up after a few hours. Fast forward to midnight and she's still vomiting and struggling to use the litter box. I rush her to the emergency vet, the bill for the visit and the anti nausea medicine put me in the negative by 500 dollars which is a problem considering I recently lost my job.
Moreover, she still needs to get blood work, x rays, and an ultrasound by a cardiologist as the vet discovered she had a fairly big heart murmur. All in all, we're looking at a medical expense of at least 1500 dollars. Money we don't have, but this is essential to potentially saving Gidgets life if there is anything threatening it. We don't have insurance and I don't qualify for scratch pay or care credit so all the expenses have to come out of pocket We love her with all our heart and humbly ask everyone to help with what they can. Even if you cannot donate PLEASE share this with everyone you can. Any small effort will help.
