It has been a recurring feeling/calling to become a Doula for both pregnancy/labor and postpartum women/families. I am trying to raise the money needed to become just that. To secure a spot that goes quick with Shafia Monroe at Full Circle Doula who is a African American women in the Portland Oregon area offering these services. As someone who did a lot of research to find some who is a representation of myself, I knew that it was meant to be. Courses are online due to covid and because Shafia likes to give full attention in/on her teachings spots are limited.
the goal is to become certified as a Doula in both life and death to help ease the transitions of life changes. Which in return will allow me to work for not myself but for others.
anything will help since I stay at home with two littles and the pandemic is still continuing and no end seems in sight at the moment.
