This is not easy for me to write, but I’m learning that community matters, and sometimes asking for help is part of staying standing.
Over the past year, I’ve taken big steps toward independence and stability. I’m living on my own for the first time, working full-time in hospitality, and doing my best to juggle rising costs, unexpected expenses, and the reality that even working hard doesn’t always mean getting ahead.
I’m not looking for a handout. I’m asking for a hand up.
I’m someone who shows up for others. I work in events and hospitality, which means I spend my days solving problems, supporting guests, and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. Outside of work, I’m a deeply creative person. I make jewelry, I craft, I create. I’m actively working toward building additional income streams so I don’t have to live in constant financial stress. But building something sustainable takes time, and right now I’m in the in-between.
This fundraiser is to help ease the immediate pressure so I can:
• Stay current on basic living expenses
• Reduce reliance on credit and short-term fixes
• Give myself breathing room to focus on stability and creative growth
