Delilah is a true light in this world. Recently, Delilah has been diagnosed with Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumor. This is an aggressive and incredibly rare form of soft tissue sarcoma. DSRCT typically starts in the abdomen/pelvis and quickly spreads to nearby organs.
At just 20 years old and recently graduating from Bryant & Stratton College-Wisconsin, Delilah is facing the reality of a life-changing diagnosis and is preparing for the battle of a lifetime.
Delilah has spent the last two years on the Bryant & Stratton College softball team. Here are what some of her teammates and coaches have to say about her:
"Delilah has always been the person I turn to for advice and reassurance--my voice of reason. I cannot imagine my life without her. We often talk about how God brought us together because He knew we needed each other, and I truly believe that is true. Delilah impacts everyone she meets, lighting up every room she walks into with just her presence. She has left a lasting impact on my life and on so many others who are lucky enough to know her." -Braylyn (teammate)
"D is a true joy to be around. She lights up the room whenever she walks in. Always greeting everyone with a friendly smile and radiating positivity. Her laugh is infectious. She is the ultimate hype woman and wants everyone around her feeling their best. D is wise beyond her years and has handled this diagnosis with such grace. Her strength and unrelenting faith are admirable. There is ain't no strong like D-Strong!"- Coach E
"Delilah's smile reminds this team what strength really looks like--even while fighting, she shows up in every conversation with courage, heart, and a spirit that lifts every one of us." - Coach Dean
"Delilah is one of a kind. She lights up every room she walks in with her humor and kind-heartedness. You can always rely on D to hype you up and cheer you up. There is never a dull moment with her." -Gia (teammate)
"Delilah is the kind of person who can walk into any room and brighten it within seconds. No matter the situation, she always knows how to make people smile and laugh. Her kindness, positivity, and laughter makes everyone around her feel happy. Everyone deserves a Delilah in their life." - Olivia (teammate)
Delilah resides in Central Wisconsin with her two parents and younger sister, Sophia. When asked about her sister, Sophia said, "She gives without expecting, loves without limits and stands strong through every challenge."
As Delilah and her family navigate this difficult journey ahead, the financial burden is immense. We are asking for your support to help keep the focus on Delilah's battle and ease the burden that comes along with the diagnosis. This will allow Delilah and her family to find moments of joy and cherish present moments together.
If you are able to give, share, or pray, every little bit makes such an impactful difference. Let's lift Delilah and her family up with the love and support they give to others.
Thank you. #DSTRONG
