# Help Frank Pendarvis, a 72-Year-Old Vietnam Veteran, Get Back on His Feet

Frank gave his country three years of his life during the Vietnam War. Now, at 72, he's fighting a battle no one should have to fight alone.

A few years ago, Frank spent nearly everything he had saved caring for his dying parents ΓÇö making sure they were comfortable, cared for, and not alone in their final days. He didn't hesitate. That's just who he is.

Then last year, Frank took a bad fall. What followed was 10 months in hospital and rehab care. He came out the other side alive, but with limited mobility that has changed what he's able to do for himself day to day.

Now Frank is living on Social Security alone. He has no permanent home ΓÇö just an old, broken-down van that barely runs. The VA, which should be there to support a veteran who served his country, has not been able to get him the help he needs.

**Here's what Frank is asking for help with:**

- Repairing his van so he has safe, reliable shelter and transportation
- Getting his driver's license back, so he can regain some independence and mobility
- Finding stable, permanent housing he can actually afford on a fixed income
