Our admins and moderators put a lot of time and effort into keeping this community organized, welcoming, and running smoothly. Managing a group of thousands of members takes patience, consistency, and plenty of behind-the-scenes work — and they do it all completely voluntarily.
There is no requirement or expectation for our admins or moderators to do this, and they are not paid for the time they dedicate to the group. They simply choose to volunteer their time because they care about this community and the people in it.
If you’ve ever appreciated something an admin or moderator has done, or simply want to say thank you for the work they put in, we’ve created an optional Spotfund appreciation fund:
There is absolutely no obligation to contribute. This is simply a place for anyone who wants to show their appreciation to the people who help keep everything running behind the scenes.
Any funds received will be divided among the current admins and moderators each week as a small gesture of appreciation for the time they volunteer.
And just to clarify — we are not currently looking for additional moderators or admins. If that ever changes and we need more help, we’ll make a separate announcement.
