Hi everyone ❤️
I’m doing something that’s very hard for me to ask for, but very important for my daughter.
My 12-year-old daughter lives with OCD and depression. Some days are harder than others for her. She is incredibly strong, but like many children facing mental health challenges, she sometimes feels overwhelmed, anxious, and alone even when she is surrounded by people who love her.
We are hoping to raise money to bring home a female pug puppy to be her emotional support animal.
Our family has always had pugs, and they have always felt like more than pets to us — they have been comfort, companionship, and quiet emotional support during difficult times. We are hoping this puppy can be that same source of comfort for her as she grows up.
At 12 years old, she is learning how to manage big emotions, school stress, friendships, and her mental health all at once. An emotional support dog would help her with:
• Anxiety during hard moments
• Feeling less alone when depression feels heavy
• Building daily routines and responsibility
• Having a safe, comforting presence during nighttime anxiety
The puppy we found is about $1000, which is a lot for us right now. I wish I could give this to her without asking for help, but sometimes community love is how things like this become possible.
If you are able to help, even $5 helps us move closer to bringing home a puppy who could change her daily life in such a meaningful way. If you cannot donate, sharing this post would mean just as much to us.
Thank you for helping a little girl feel more hopeful, more confident, and a little less alone in the world ❤️
