In August of 2020 I separated from my husband after calling and reporting a Domestic Violence incident. He has moved off island almost immediately after that. I don't really want to put too many details on here publicly as I filed for a divorce after some incidents that happened while he had Krew in July of 2021. I have had a lawyer since August of 2021 and am filing for divorce and child custody/support. Some of you might know how expensive lawyers can become, especially when you aren't dealing with nice people. This has been going on for some time now and I don't see any light at the end of the tunnel for a while. As you know Alaska courts, or anywhere now with covid, can take forever. Babysitters are just about impossible to come by around here, making it even more impossible to get a job to provide an income for my boys and I. I am not the one to ask for help from people and this makes me feel extremely vulnerable but these financial burdens are starting to add up and seeking help in any way I can. Thank you for reading.
